Every month you will be able to read up on past, present and future KINGDOM BUILDERS. Individuals and/or groups with a heart for God that make a positive impact in the lives of others.
You can also nominate someone you know that you believe to be doing amazing things for their fellow man, with the motivation of building God's Kingdom and God's people at heart. (remember it doesn't have to relate to christian fashion or christian music)
The nominated Kingdom Builder for November 2018 is Ryan Griffin, barber at 'The Fuller Cut in Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA.
Our brother Griffin founded a program where he gives young customers a discount in return for them reading out loud to him!
This story really moved us, as it proves it does't take much to make a huge positive impact on a life, on a community.
(CNN)A barbershop in Michigan is offering its younger clients a discount for a haircut -- as long as they read out loud.
From $10 a haircut, kids can get back two bucks if they read to their barbers.
But, wait! There's more. Kids also get quizzed on what they read.
"It's not just about reading, but also about comprehension," said Ryan Griffin.
Griffin said he was instantly inspired to offer this deal to his younger clients while reading an article about another barbershop incorporating the same concept.
"It hit me like a book! I was like, that is so responsible to have these kids not waste their time just either sitting there doing nothing, or playing a video game. They can read," Griffin told CNN.
Almost all of Griffin's clientele is African-American. He says he really wanted to offer his younger visitors books with a strong, positive message.
The barbershop's library
Books like "Chocolate Me," "Big Hair Don't Care" and "I am Mixed" are among the hundreds of titles in the shop's library, Griffin said.
Some kids opt out of reading because they most likely feel intimidated to read out loud. However, it doesn't stop Griffin from encouraging them to read.
Griffin said he will correct them along the way with any words the kids don't know how to say. And he has seen lots of improvement from his readers.
"You may have a kid that never wanted to read, and now all of a sudden the kid will come in and read," he said. "You may have a kid that's reading really soft because he doesn't want somebody to hear him mess up, but then after a couple of times this kid is (reading) out loud now."
The nominated Kingdom Builder for December 2018 is Yassin Terou
This refugee-run restaurant was voted to be the Nicest Place in America last year – and its latest initiative to care for furloughed government workers only reinforces the title.
Yassin’s Falafel House in Knoxville, Tennessee has been offering free meals to federal employees who have not been receiving paychecks since the US government shut down in December. Terou has used the restaurant as a neighborhood sanctuary for everyone, regardless of their religion, race, or politics.
The nominated Kingdom Builder for January 2019 is Sherbano, also known as the super woman midwife of the mountains.
Fewer than half the women in Pakistan have access to midwives.
In the country's remote Himalayan area, many pregnant women give birth without help.
Sherbano knows from her own experience how difficult it can be.
So she decided to step in to fill the gap and train to become the first midwife in her area.
The nominated Kingdom Builder for February 2019 is Tyson Fury aka The Gypsy King.
Tyson Fury promised before he fought Deontay Wilder back in December that he would donate all is millions from the fight to charity, now the undefeated heavyweight has confirmed that he did just that.
It was amazing to see how quickly Tyson Fury went from being one of the most divisive characters in British sport, possibly world sport, to a man loved by pretty much everyone as he completed a remarkable comeback.
In 2018 the British boxer came back from nearly three years outside of the ring. In the intervening years between his win of Wladimir Klitschko, to become world champion, and his win over Sefer Seferi he's been fighting his own demons.
The former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion is reported to have made around £7 million from fighting Wilder, once pay-per-view figures had been added into his £2.5 million initial earnings.
In the build up to the biggest boxing fight of 2018 the lineal champ told a press conference he wouldn't be keeping the money he made from the fight, instead giving it to charity, saying, "I'm going to give it to the poor and I'm going to build homes for the homeless.
"I don't really have much use for it."
In a Q&A, as reported by talkSPORT, Tyson Fury confirmed he did give the money away, saying:
"I did give away my last purse but I don't do charity work for a pat on the back.
"I do it to help people but I do not want praise for it, I don't want to be called a do-gooder."
We have a true"peoples champ" Tyson Fury aka The Gypsy King...Who donates the entire proceeds from a fight to help those less fortunate? Only a"Kingdom Builder".
The nominated Kingdom Builder for March 2019 is Project Petals. When Alicia White was growing up in Queens, New York, there was a lack of resources for community development and after school programs. As she got older, she knew she wanted to change this by creating the programs and services that her community deserved.
This led White to start her nonprofit, Project Petals, which is a community development and environmental organization aimed at helping people take on these types of projects for communities in need.
The organization provides educational workshops and resources for service projects, and also includes a Youth Builders Program. This program connects children with architects, urban planners, engineers, and designers to prepare them for future careers in community development while also giving them an opportunity to make an impact on their community in the present.
Project Petals began as a way for White to give back to her community, and has since grown into a way for people to come together through service and work towards a better future.
The nominated Kingdom Builder of April 2019 is Pastor Lee Jong Rak and his wife, Chun-ja. Every year, hundreds of babies are abandoned in Seoul, South Korea. Pastor Lee Jong Rak and his wife, Chun-ja, created the first "drop box" for abandoned children in South Korea outside the Jusarang ("God's Love") Community Church. The drop box was modeled off the baby hatch, or baby box.
Even through times of persecution this Kingdom Builder continues in his calling to save these children who are unable to save themselves.
The nominated Kingdom Builder of May 2019 is Malala Yousafzai. Born in Pakistan, she learned early on about the importance of education from her father, a teacher at a girls’ school. When the Taliban took control of her town in 2008, they prohibited girls from going to school. Yousafzai publicly spoke out against it and was shot on the left side of her head for standing up for what she believed in. After months of recovery and moving to the United Kingdom with her family, she refused to hide in fear, instead using her voice to start the Malala Fund, a charity dedicated to ensuring every girl has the opportunity to go to school. At 17, she became the youngest person to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
While sharing her journey Malala said"I travel to many countries to meet girls fighting poverty, wars, child marriage and gender discrimination to go to school. Malala Fund is working so that their stories, like mine, can be heard around the world."
Knowledge is important and critical in these times. We must educate ourselves and educate the coming generation of Kingdom Builders
'My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you' Hosea 4:6
The nominated Kingdom Builder for June 2019 is Mike Lewis of JesusPainter Ministries and Rob Westerman of SNC Norwood. In the video you can see as one sets up post behind a camera the other pays for customers shopping. The various reactions are an reflection of where each person is in there in life; none of them can believe someone is doing a kind act with no want for anything in return.
We live in an age where it seems to be each man for them-self, where nothing is free and where money holds more value than humanity; It is now more than ever that we must unite together, helping one another and encouraging each other.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
The nominated Kingdom Builder for July 2019 is Phylisc Ogur of Migori, Kenya.
While walking and trusting in God for a permanent ministry location; Phylisc travels to local areas providing food, clothing, education to many orphaned children that live on the streets of Kenya.
She completes long days with the heartbreaking reality of having to leave the children each night to go home and care for her own family. All of what Phylisc does is without any funding, however her desire to share the love of God with these children never waivers and that is what Kingdom Building is all about.
God is the great protector and loving Father of all children living as orphans. Psalm 68:5 says, “Father of the fatherless and protector of widows, is God in his holy habitation.” He who numbers the hairs on our head will certainly not turn away from the children living as orphans, and this should inspire us to act.
The nominated Kingdom Builder for August 2019 is Manny Pacquiao, world champion boxer, a Senator of the Philippines, and one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.
Pacquiao fought his way out of poverty, and made it a point to give back. In 2016, Pacquiao paid out of pocket for 1,000 homes to be built for the poor in his hometown. He has supported the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s implementation of an antipoverty program. In May 2018, it was reported that after chatting with an ice cream vendor in the Philippines named Mang Marciano, Pacquiao learned that Marciano had recently suffered from a stroke. Pacquiao then gave the man money, and later provided him with a job and home. It isn't by actions alone that display his heart for building Gods Kingdom, It is also by his VERY public declaration of faith without any hesitation to how others may view him.“I’m happy because I found the right way, salvation, born again. We are required to be born again, all of us. Christ said unless we are born again we cannot enter the kingdom of God. So it’s very important to me. Jesus Christ said: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ There is no other way. The only way is through Jesus.”
The nominated Kingdom builders for September 2019 are Paul and Jeane Briggs. This God fearing couple are currently raising 25 kids who still live in the home, and each day is quite the ride in the bustling West Virginia household. Not only does Jeane home-school her children, but she also takes care of many of their various medical needs. Things can get chaotic at times, but these parents wouldn't have it any other way.
This couple is an example of how we can help raise a generation of Kingdom Builders. Also, family doesn't just have to be the one you are born into...
But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
The nominated Kingdom Builder for October 2019 is Zachary Norys. A couple of years ago, Zachary Norys hit a rough patch in his life and found himself on a downward spiral, leaving him severely depressed and homeless. When his pride caused him to pull away from his family and friends, the 2009 Woodstock High School graduate was without a support system, but random acts of kindness shown to him by strangers helped him turn his situation around.
Those acts of kindness inspired him to pay the favor forward. This month he will embark on a cross-country trek to bring happiness and hope to others in need through small acts of kindness.
“This has been a passion of mine for a long time,” said Norys, who has been involved in charity work where he currently resides in Tempe, Ariz. “I’m excited about it.”
He plans to visit every state in the lower 48, where he will seek homeless people in need and offer small kindnesses such as a meal, a haircut or clothing, as well as a listening ear. He hopes to spread a little joy and happiness and give people a voice who might otherwise be totally unnoticed.
Inspired by the plight of the homeless in Arizona, Norys developed the idea and started Add to my Adventure, a nonprofit charitable organization to serve the homeless throughout the continental U.S. Acts of service will include fellowship, food, clothes, and/or an experience necessitated by a specific need.
Following Christ also means emulating who HE is in every aspect of your life; We are all called to be more like Christ. This young man has taken up his cross and is following his savior Jesus Christ.
May we all receive courage to step out in faith.
The nominated Kingdom Builder for November 2019 is Lynsi Snyder

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
HAPPY NEW YEAR Kingdom Builders!!!! 2020 has arrived, we have entered a new decade however our mission remains the same,BUILDING GODS KINGDOM SOUL BY SOUL.
The nominated Kingdom Builders for January 2020 are our brothers and sisters on the front line of spiritual warfare.
Our street preachers!!!
Each and everyone of the street preachers that represent Christ and the word of God!!
They do not just face spiritual attack but physical attack; They do this KNOWING of the attacks they will face; They also know that in today's society the law of the land is also against them.
Christ already told us, as it is written in HIS word: John 15:18-25 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason'

The nominated Kingdom Builder of April 2020 is Ronetta Jackson!!
This awesome woman of God is one of many talents. Ronetta encourages others to pursue a healthy body, mind and spirit; She doesn't just talk the talk, she truly walks the walk.
During these times of uncertainty, it is crucial that now more than ever, each of us answer the calling to be a Kingdom Builder.
Sister Ronetta has been doing exactly that; Every Wednesday Ronetta and @My Friends House Foundation set up at 540 S. San Pedro St LA (AKA skid row) and provide food, clothing, toiletries and more to those who are living rough. Even during a global health pandemic, when everyone is thinking about keeping themselves safe, we have brothers and sisters putting the well being of others before their own; Why?...Because God said so!
' For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

For millions of children, school closure means no reliable access to meals.
Restaurant owner Doug Lammers in Mytrle Beach, South Carolina has risen to meet their need an until further notice his shop will be offering free meals to children in need.

During these times which the world sees as uncertain, each of us has the opportunity to make a choice..You could choose to fend for yourself as you bulk shop having little regard to those in need in your community..You could choose to be uncooperative in the prevention of the further spread of covid-19 or You can do your part in building God's Kingdom, do not turn a blind eye to those you see in need.
Proverbs 14:31 Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.
The nominated Kingdom Builder of June 2020 is a humble Taxi driver from Madrid. Sadly we've been unable to find out the man's name; He has been routinely ferrying corona virus patients to and from hospitals so they could receive treatment, free of charge, since the the beginning of this pandemic.
When arriving to pick up a patient from the hospital, he is greeted by a standing ovation by doctors and nurses; He was given a monetary gift along with test results, which stated that he had not contracted the virus.
Exodus 15:26 - And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.
The nominated Kingdom builder for July 2020 is Craig Conrad aka TIK TOK Dad. The awesome father has used what is a questionable platform, and create a way to keep women and young adults safe while traveling.

Psalm 91:9-12 “If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

One trait that is needed on your Christian walk of faith is selflessness. Sometimes we worry about ourselves and our wants rather than wanting to give others our time and our help, but this should not be. We must have empathy for others and put ourselves in someone else’s shoes. The only thing this selfish world cares about is what is in it for me? We don’t need a reason to serve and help others we just do and we do it expecting nothing in return.
Humble yourself and put others before yourself. We must allow God to conform our lives into Christlikeness. Jesus had it all but for us He became poor. God humbled Himself and for us came down from Heaven in the form of man.
As believers we must be a reflection of Jesus. Selflessness results in sacrificing for others, forgiving others, making peace with others, and having more love for others.
Philippians 2:3-4 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well
